Event Description
Join us for the first ever HAIL! Fredonia Records 5k Run/Walk! This race is organized, managed and operated by students in the class of MUSB420- “HAIL! Fredonia Records”, instructed by platinum-selling record producer and manager, Armand Petri. This event was created and coordinated by Music Industry senior, August Bates.
Race Course
This race will follow USATF Certified course NY16036JJ. The course is a fast-and-flat-type course, and is fully along the scenic routes of SUNY Fredonia's campus. Please examine the course map at the following link: https://certifiedroadraces.com/certificate/?type=l&id=NY16038JJ
*Please note*
- Traffic will NOT be closed off. Please be mindful and respectful of the campus and public community while running!
- We cannot ensure that the roadways won’t be slippery. Please take note of the weather surrounding the event, and utilize traction devices as needed!
- Runners are strongly encouraged to use the sidewalks along Ring Road for safety reasons. These sidewalks are very well maintained and flat.
Registration
Online pre-registration will be open until February 25th (2/25) at 8 pm. Race day registration will exist at our check-in table, with a cost of $25.
Race check-in will begin at 8:30 am on race day (2/26) in Dods Hall (see Green line on map below).
Timing
Timing and scoring services will be performed manually by our team at HAIL! Fredonia. We ask that registrants try to stay in the order they finish until their bib number is collected.
Additional Information
Parking: Parking will be available to the public in any lot on the campus. We encourage entrants to park in lots 10, 11 or 13 to ensure closeness to the start and finish area. (See Blue circles in picture below)
Restrooms: Restrooms will be open in every hall. Closest existing restrooms to the start and finish area are located in the Williams Center, Mason Hall, and Dods/Steele Hall. (See Red circles in picture below)
Water Stations: Water will be available along the race course at each mile mark.
*If you need to stop at any point during the race, please talk to student helpers along the course. Your safety and well-being is our #1 priority.

Post-Race Reception
Light refreshments will be provided at the end of the race to all participants. Awards will presented to overall winners, as well as age group winners!

HAIL! Fredonia Records is proud to partner with the Institute for Autism Research and American Kennel Club to put on our annual Lend a Paw for Autism Dog Walk. More info to come- be sure to attend the post-race reception to learn more!
